Karine Wegrzynowicz (Veg-sha-NO-vich)


Karine is a business and estate planning attorney with broad business, startup, and technology expertise and a strong, ethical reputation. Karine began her legal career advising clients on Estates and Trusts and working with startups on their entity setup and compliance requirements. 

Before becoming an attorney, Karine spent 20 years years working in-house serving as the head of internal audit and corporate compliance for public companies in the consumer goods, retail, and manufacturing sectors. This experience led her to work and or live in over 70 countries. During her time in audit, Karine served on the Internal Audit International Standards Board for over 5 years, the global oversight body setting standards for the profession of internal auditing. 

Originally a Detroit native, Karine now calls Santa Barbara home since relocating here 15 years ago. She holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Finance from the University of Michigan and earned her law degree from the Santa Barbara College of Law. Karine is also an adjunct professor at the Colleges of Law in Information Security and Data Privacy-related topics.
